Out of New York City in the 1970s emerged a series of black & white horror comics titled Nightmare, Psycho, and Scream. Lasting only five and a half years (December 1970 to March 1975), these comics established themselves as something wholly unique thanks to the editorship of “Archaic” Al Hewetson, whose dark and perverse in-house style became known as "the Horror-Mood". With many enduring characters and stories, the cult classic — Skywald Horror-Mood Publications — continue to stand the ravages of time a half century later.
